Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken serious cognizance of the recent law and order concerns in the state and has demanded a comprehensive report from the state police and administrative departments. Calling it a matter of public safety and governance, the CM emphasized that maintaining peace and public order is non-negotiable.

Strict Monitoring and Accountability

CM Mann has directed senior police officials and district administrations to strengthen on-ground policing, especially in sensitive districts and urban clusters. Instructions have been given to increase night patrolling, deploy additional personnel, and track criminal elements more aggressively.

He has also asked officials to review pending cases, especially those involving serious crimes, and ensure speedy investigation and legal follow-up.

Warning to Anti-Social Elements

“Those who attempt to disturb Punjab’s peace will face the full force of the law. We will not let anyone tarnish the state's image or create fear among citizens,” Mann stated.

He further added that his government would not allow political interference or protection to anyone involved in unlawful activities, reaffirming his commitment to transparent and impartial governance.

Appeal for Public Cooperation

The Chief Minister urged the people of Punjab to cooperate with law enforcement agencies, report suspicious activities, and play an active role in maintaining harmony.

“Peace is the foundation of Punjab’s progress. We are committed to ensuring that every citizen feels safe and secure,” he said.

Statewide Review in the Pipeline

Officials confirmed that the government is planning to hold a statewide law and order review meeting in the coming days, where all District Commissioners and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) will present on-ground assessments and action plans.

This strong stance from the Chief Minister comes as a message of assurance to the people, signaling that the Bhagwant Mann government is determined to uphold law, order, and public trust in Punjab.
