Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has appealed to the people of villages and towns across the state to actively participate in the upcoming Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections, emphasising the importance of voting with wisdom and integrity.

In a message shared on social media, the Chief Minister urged voters to rise above any kind of inducement, pressure or personal relationships while casting their votes. He called upon citizens to vote according to their conscience and choose representatives who can genuinely contribute to grassroots development.

Extending his best wishes, the Chief Minister expressed hope that people would exercise their democratic rights responsibly and strengthen the foundations of self-governance in Punjab’s villages and towns.

He further stressed that strong and transparent local institutions are the backbone of democracy and play a decisive role in addressing everyday issues faced by rural communities. Bhagwant Mann noted that elected representatives at the block and district levels directly influence development works related to roads, water supply, education, healthcare and employment, making these elections especially significant.

The Chief Minister also appealed to the youth to come forward in large numbers and participate in the democratic process, stating that their involvement would bring fresh ideas and energy to village governance. He reiterated that informed voting would help ensure accountable leadership and accelerate overall development in Punjab’s rural and semi-urban regions.
