Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given a strong message after the arrest of AAP MLA Amit Rattan from Bathinda village by the Vigilance Bureau. He has said that the bribe taker will not be spared, irrespective of his position. He has made it clear that the law is equal for all. Bhagwant Mann said "Bribery will not be tolerated under any circumstances. There is no mercy or mercy for those who use public tax money. Law is equal for all."

Action taken after pressure from opposition parties
Recently the aide of Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amit Ratan was arrested from Bathinda Rural with a bribe of Rs 4 lakh. The Vigilance Department had given a clean chit to the MLA. At the same time, the MLA also said that he has no relation with Risham Gupta in any way, but after the issue was raised by the opposition parties, the Punjab government headed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has taken action against him.
