Empowerment Initiatives Under Bhagwant Mann
The party said the state government has been using self-help groups to create opportunities for women to develop livelihoods and become economically self-reliant. These groups are intended to provide women with platforms to participate in income-generating activities and strengthen their financial position.
AAP Punjab also highlighted the Sakhi Shakti Melas, organised with the objective of turning women’s skills and talents into sustainable sources of economic empowerment. The events provide women with opportunities to showcase their products, skills and entrepreneurial abilities.
The party claimed that the initiatives reflect the Mann government’s focus on strengthening women’s participation in economic activities and creating avenues for greater financial independence.
AAP Punjab said women’s empowerment remains an important part of its governance agenda, with programmes designed to provide women with practical opportunities for livelihood generation and self-reliance across the state.
