A tweet by Aap Punjab stated that while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, under CM Bhagwant Mann, is working day and night to restore normalcy and support flood-affected families—including contributions from Punjabi families living abroad—the Congress party was reportedly opposing fund allocations and relief measures.
Cabinet Minister Harpal Cheema said, “Congress has revealed its mindset in front of Punjab. While AAP works for a prosperous and vibrant Punjab, Congress seems to want the state to remain helpless and struggling.”

The CM has personally reviewed relief operations in the flood-hit areas, ensuring that food, clean water, and medical assistance reach every affected household. Temporary shelters and community kitchens have been set up in the worst-hit districts, while teams of volunteers and government officials are conducting door-to-door surveys to identify urgent needs.
In addition, the state government has coordinated with Punjabi diaspora groups abroad, who have contributed to emergency funds and supplies. CM Bhagwant Mann has also instructed officials to prioritize the repair of damaged roads, bridges, and drainage systems to restore connectivity and prevent further hardships.
