Taking forward the ‘Yudh Nasheyan Virudh’ (War Against Drugs) campaign, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal led an oath-taking ceremony in Ludhiana, reinforcing the state’s fight against drug abuse. The event saw the participation of AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia and other senior party leaders.

As part of the initiative, nearly 6,000 young individuals, including NCC (National Cadet Corps) and NSS (National Service Scheme) volunteers, took an oath to assist the Punjab government in eradicating drug abuse. Under Kejriwal’s leadership, Chief Minister Mann administered the pledge, highlighting the government’s commitment to tackling the issue.

Punjab’s War Against Drugs

Addressing the gathering, CM Bhagwant Mann stressed the importance of collective efforts to eliminate drug addiction from Punjab. He urged the youth to take an active role in spreading awareness and ensuring a drug-free society. “With the enthusiasm and support of our young generation, we will defeat this menace,” Mann stated.

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing that the AAP government is committed to strict law enforcement, rehabilitation programs, and awareness initiatives to combat drug addiction. He highlighted the government’s zero-tolerance policy against drug suppliers and the need for social responsibility in tackling the crisis.

Government’s Strategy to Tackle Drug Abuse

The ‘Yudh Nasheyan Virudh’ campaign is a major initiative by the Punjab government aimed at eradicating drug addiction through preventive measures, rehabilitation centers, and stringent action against drug networks.

With thousands of youth pledging their support, the Punjab government aims to strengthen its anti-drug policies and create a healthier, addiction-free future for the state.
