The inauguration ceremony marked the unveiling of upgraded facilities at both the Government Elementary School and the Government Middle School in Dhirekot. Sharing the news on social media, Jandiala MLA Harbhajan Singh ETO wrote, “Parhda Punjab, Badalda Punjab,” reflecting the vision of a progressive and educated Punjab. He highlighted that these efforts are being made under the able leadership of CM Bhagwant Mann, who remains committed to ensuring access to quality education for every child in Punjab.
These modernisation efforts are expected to significantly enhance the learning environment for students while also boosting the morale of teachers. With improved classrooms, better sanitation facilities, and smart learning tools, the schools will now be better equipped to meet the demands of 21st-century education.
This initiative is also being seen as a key step to restore public confidence in government schools, which have often been criticised for lacking basic facilities.
