In a strong push for educational transformation, Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains addressed parents and teachers during a ‘Mega PTM’ event, asserting that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government has ushered in a historic education revolution in the state.

Bains highlighted key achievements under the Mann-led AAP government: 

Government school infrastructure has undergone a dramatic facelift, bringing dignity and pride back to public education.

Textbooks have reached students even before the academic session began — a first for many institutions that previously faced delays in basic academic material.

 Special Work Books aligned with summer vacations have been distributed to students, ensuring that learning continues even during the break.

The Minister also added that feedback from parents has been overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing surprise at the visible changes in both the physical environment and the academic discipline within schools.

He said that the “Mega PTM” initiative is more than just a meeting—it’s a way to rebuild trust between parents and the public education system. “When parents feel involved, students feel supported, and teachers feel accountable,” Bains stated.

He also spoke about the teacher training reforms underway, which are equipping educators with modern tools, smart classrooms, and digital content to enhance learning outcomes.

 

Concluding the event, Bains reiterated the government’s goal of making Punjab a model state for education in India and expressed hope that other states will follow Punjab’s example in prioritizing education as the foundation for social transformation.

The event underlined Punjab’s commitment to quality education, accountability, and parental involvement in student progress. The AAP government continues to set benchmarks with its “education-first” agenda, winning appreciation from both parents and educators.
