Punjab News: CM Mann Visits Golden Temple To Participate In ‘Oath Against Drugs’ Event

Punjab News: On Wednesday, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar to take part in the “oath against drugs” event. During his visit, Mann said, “If we have to take the youth away from drugs, then creating employment opportunities is very important. We are working on this on a priority basis.”

Vidhi, a student, said on Bhagwant Mann’s visit and remarked that the Punjab CM has worked very hard to make Punjab ‘Nasha Mukt’.

Combat the threat of drug

Bhagwant Mann, the chief minister, is among the about 40,000 students assembling at the Golden Temple to offer prayers and make a commitment to combat the threat of drug.

“All the school students have gathered here. We have come here to participate in the oath against drugs… Our CM Bhagwant Mann has put a lot of effort into making Punjab ‘Nasha Mukt’,” reported news agency.

Event is likely to break all past records

Naunihal Singh, Amritsar police commissioner said, “The event is likely to break all past records of initiatives and gatherings against drug menace with a record gathering of more than 40,000 students in person and many more joining online as well. The commissionerate police, Amritsar, have made arrangements for the live streaming of all these events, while the residents and supporters joining online have been urged to make virtual presentations of their participation and upload these on the website of the Amritsar police”.

Singh giving details said for October 18 event all arrangements are in place.
