Punjab News: In a significant intelligence-based operation, the Punjab Police has successfully dismantled an interstate weapon smuggling module, apprehending two operatives linked to the foreign-based terrorist, Lakhbir Singh, also known as Landa. The operation, carried out by the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) in Amritsar, led to the recovery of six sophisticated pistols along with magazines and ammunition.

An FIR has been registered, and investigations are ongoing to establish both backward and forward linkages. The police are determined to apprehend the remaining accused and dismantle the illegal weapon smuggling operations originating from Madhya Pradesh.

In response to the successful operation, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reiterated the government's commitment to taking stern action against all those involved in organized crime and illegal weapon networks. CM Mann has commended the Punjab Police for their dedication and effectiveness in upholding the state's security.
"Punjab Police is 100% committed to eradicating organized crime and illegal weapon networks as per the directions of Hon'ble Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann," said a spokesperson from the Punjab Police.
