Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced the commencement of wheat procurement in the state's grain markets (mandis) from today. Ensuring Seamless Procurement Process

CM Bhagwant Mann emphasized that the state is committed to ensuring efficient and transparent procurement. He directed officials to ensure that farmers face no inconvenience during the selling process. Special attention has been given to logistics, storage, and payment mechanisms to prevent delays and disruptions.

"The mandis are fully equipped, and officers have been instructed to ensure that farmers receive payments immediately after unloading their wheat," Bhagwant Mann stated. He also reassured that no farmer would face delays, mismanagement, or hardships in the mandis.

Farmers' Welfare a Priority

The Punjab government has taken proactive measures to streamline procurement and payment processes, reinforcing its commitment to farmers' welfare. In previous years, procurement delays and payment backlogs have been major concerns, but this year, the administration aims to eliminate such issues with better coordination and accountability.
