Punjab News: Punjab Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Bhagwant Mann has reportedly requested permission from the Tihar Jail administration to meet Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Sources indicate that the Chief Minister’s Office has formally written to the Tihar Jail administration seeking approval for the meeting.

Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in connection with the Delhi excise policy-linked money laundering case, remains in judicial custody until April 15. The case revolves around alleged irregularities in the formulation and execution of the Delhi government’s excise policy for 2021-22, which was subsequently annulled.
ED asserted that Kejriwal was the “kingpin”
During a hearing at the Delhi High Court, the ED asserted that Kejriwal was the “kingpin” and primary conspirator of the “excise scam,” presenting evidence suggesting his involvement in money laundering. Based on the material in its possession, the ED expressed strong suspicions of Kejriwal’s culpability in the offence.
