Punjab News– Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab Skill Development Mission (PSDM) has signed agreements with 20 industries and industrial associations to boost employment and industrial growth in the state. These partnerships are expected to generate 50,000 job opportunities for the youth of Punjab.
This major initiative was announced by Aman Arora, Punjab’s Minister for Employment Generation, Skill Development, and Training, during the CXO Meet-2024, which was attended by industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to encourage collaboration between the government and industries.
Among the 20 industries and associations involved are the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and key industrial bodies from Mohali (S.A.S. Nagar), Amritsar, Ludhiana, and Patiala. These agreements aim to provide multi-faceted benefits to Punjab, including enhanced employment, industrial development, and increased revenue generation.
This partnership is part of the state’s broader mission to develop skilled labor and create sustainable job opportunities for its youth.
