Punjab News: In a significant step towards improving the state's education system, the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Education Minister Harjot Bains, held Mega School Management Committee (SMC) meetings across more than 19,110 government schools. This initiative aims to strengthen parent and community involvement in shaping the future of Punjab’s students.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government shared details of the large-scale meetings on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting its commitment to making Punjab’s education system the best in India.

Focus on School Infrastructure and Student Well-Being

The theme of the initiative, "School da Badlaav, SMC de Naal" (Transforming Schools Through Collective Effort), reflects the government’s mission to upgrade educational facilities.

The meetings primarily focused on:

Cleanliness and Hygiene: Ensuring a healthier learning environment for students.

School Infrastructure: Addressing the need for better classrooms, sanitation, and learning resources.

Student Well-Being: Discussing ways to support students academically and emotionally.

Active Participation of Parents and Local Bodies

One of the key aspects of these meetings was the active engagement of parents, Panchayat members, and local officials. By involving the community in decision-making, the Punjab government aims to create a stronger support system for students.

AAP Government’s Commitment to Education

The AAP government has consistently worked towards strengthening the education sector, ensuring that government schools provide quality learning experiences. With initiatives like these, Punjab is on its way to setting a new benchmark for education in India.
