In a major breakthrough, Punjab Police’s Counter Intelligence unit in Amritsar successfully dismantled an illegal arms smuggling network, arresting Gurbaaz Singh, an associate of the infamous Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang.
During the intelligence-led operation, police seized six .32 bore pistols and ten rounds of ammunition from the arrested suspect.
Firearms Smuggled from Madhya Pradesh
Preliminary investigations indicate that the recovered firearms were illegally smuggled from Madhya Pradesh and were intended for criminal activities in Punjab. Authorities are now tracing the entire supply chain to uncover the full extent of the arms smuggling network.

The Punjab Police, along with specialized teams, is conducting further investigations to identify the source of procurement, supply chain networks, and additional individuals involved in the illegal arms trade.
