Punjab is set to host the Men’s Hockey Asian Champions Trophy for the first time, marking a significant development for the state known for its strong hockey tradition.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shared details about the upcoming tournament during a press conference, highlighting the state’s contribution to Indian hockey and its long-standing reputation as a nursery of hockey talent.
Hockey Matches to Be Held in Jalandhar and Mohali
According to the Punjab government, hockey matches during the tournament will be organised in Jalandhar and Mohali. The decision is expected to bring international-level hockey action to two cities with strong sporting connections.
