Punjab to set up fast-track courts

Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal has said that the Punjab government will soon set up fast track courts in the state so that the problems of NRI Punjabis in Punjab can be resolved in less time. He was presiding over the third Punjabi Pravasi Bhartiya Milni program organized at the local Guru Nanak Dev Bhawan. During this, Cabinet Minister Dhaliwal said that the state government is committed to resolve their grievances immediately by taking the initiative of such meetings. He said that this initiative of the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Hon. It also said that these courts would be dedicated for speedy disposal of issues relating to civil cases of NRIs.

170 cases heard

Minister Dhaliwal listened to the problems of NRIs of districts Ludhiana, Sangrur, Malerkotla and Barnala in the presence of officers of district administration and police department at a meeting held at Guru Nanak Bhavan. Also directed to redress these complaints immediately. A total of 170 complaints came here.

The cabinet minister appealed to the NRIs to participate more in these meetings and said that the next meeting with Punjabi NRIs would be held on 26th December in Moga and 30th December in Amritsar. For this, NRIs can register on the Punjab Government portal https://eservices.punjab.gov.in or on the spot.

On this occasion, MLA Daljit Singh Bhola Grewal, Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina, Hakam Singh Contractor, Madan Lal Baga, Muhammad Jameel Ur Rehman, Kulwant Singh Sidhu, Principal Secretary, Indian Overseas Department J.J. Balamurugan, ADGP (NRI) Praveen Kumar Sinha, Special Secretary (NRI Affairs) Kanwalpreet Kaur Brar, Commissioner of Police Mandeep Singh Sidhu, DC Jaspreet Singh, DC Barnala Poonamdeep Kaur, senior AAP leader KNS Kang were present along with senior officers of various departments.
