Alwar News: Panic gripped the town of Alwar in Rajasthan after a time bomb-like suspicious object was discovered. Police teams rushed to the scene immediately after they received the information.
According to NDTV, the bomb-like object was found near a house in Sector 4, Vivekanand Nagar on the morning of January 12. Local residents immediately informed the police about its presence. Within no time, Aravali Vihar police station team reached the spot. A timer was found attached to the object upon inspection and it appeared to be a time bomb on initial inspection.
The object was promptly picked up and transported from Alwar city to Jaisamand Dam. It was then placed in an empty area in the middle region of the dam. Jaipur anti-terrorism squad (ATS) was duly informed of the incident. Information about the same was also shared with the bomb disposal squad and other relevant government authorities.

Police personnel are presently monitoring the suspicious object and people have been warned to maintain a safe distance from Jaisamand Dam. Details on the matter were provided by Sub-Inspector Bhagwan Singh from Aravali Vihar police station. Singh stated that the information about a suspicious object was received by the control room in the morning. After this, senior officials were informed and immediate action was taken as per the guidelines.
Babu Singh, a resident of Vivekanand Nagar, said he and his wife were alone at home in the morning when a suspicious individual arrived and picked up a fight with them. The suspicious object fell from his shawl and he fled. Installed CCTV cameras are now being scrutinized to nab the individual.
