In an apparent reference to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the former deputy chief minister of Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot, stated on Sunday that he consistently spoke out against injustice and highlighted that he never put forth his requests in order to malign anyone.
On the anniversary of his father Rajesh Pilot’s passing, Sachin Pilot spoke at a rally in Dausa, the hometown of his family, and said, “I had a chance to serve in the government. While I was working for the government, I voiced issues. I have fought injustice with my voice since the beginning.
In a jab at Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot claimed that the latter had told a news outlet that licences for mines were revoked when problems in the allocation of mines were found. Ashok Gehlot’s adage, “Every mistake demands a punishment,” was repeated by him.
“Helping the youth and the needy will not make us bankrupt. We should always help them. If we have raised any demand, then it is for the people,” he added.
The leader of the Congress remarked that if not today, everyone will receive justice tomorrow because he would continue to advocate for people’s rights, particularly those of the young, in the future.
“I listen to the voice of the people and my inner soul. The voice of my inner soul that speaks is the voice of the people,” Sachin Pilot said amid rousing applause.
Vocing one’s thoughts is crucial in Politics
He asserted that voicing one’s thoughts is crucial in politics and added that any problems that arise during administration must be fixed.
“If there is something lacking in our governance, then without blaming others, we should rectify it… I didn’t put forward my demands to defame someone… Raising your opinion is very important in politics…,” he said.
Vasundhara Raje, a BJP leader and former chief minister, is older than Sachin Pilot, but he claims he has never spoken negatively about her. He continued, “I will disparage Vasundhara Raje, but I will fight against her for a year.”
Rajesh Pilot, according to Sachin Pilot, championed the voices of farmers and those who were less fortunate. Prior to his passing on June 11, 2000 due to a car accident, Rajesh Pilot represented the Dausa Lok Sabha constituency as an MP.
“My dad fought for the nation. He was an Air Force jet pilot. Regardless of his status, he talked from the heart. Today, we need leaders who can speak from the heart, according to Sachin Pilot.
The rally at Dausa was attended by several members of the Rajasthan Cabinet, including Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Mamta Bhupesh, Murari Lal Meena, Hemaram Choudhary, and Sheesh Ram Ola.
