Vande Bharat Train: Approval for a new Vande Bharat Express Train service running between Udaipur and Asarwa (Ahmedabad) has been conferred by the Indian Ministry of Railways.
This new semi-high speed train connecting Gujarat with Rajasthan would transform the regional connectivity in both states while also boosting their economy.

A spokesperson for the North Western Railway (NWR) zone remarked that the Udaipur City-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) train has been approved by the Railway Board.

It was also announced that Vande Bharat Express trains running on the Udaipur City-Jaipur and Udaipur City-Agra Cantt routes would be discontinued.
The NWR said train number 20981/82 (Udaipur City–Agra Cantt–Udaipur City) Vande Bharat Express would cease operations from February 15 while train number 20979/80 (Udaipur City–Jaipur–Udaipur City) Vande Bharat Express will cease operations from February 14.
Timings Of Udaipur-Asarwa (Ahmedabad)
The train would operate on all days of the week except Tuesdays. Train number 26963 Udaipur City-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express would depart at 6:10am from Udaipur City and reach at Asarwa at 10:25am. In contrast, train number 26964 Asarwa (Ahmedabad)-Udaipur City Vande Bharat Express would see its departure at 17:45pm from Asarwa and reach Udaipur City at 22:00pm.
The Udaipur-Asarwa (Ahmedabad) Vande Bharat Express train would have stoppages at Zawar, Dungarpur and Himmat Nagar stations.
