Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday highlighted a series of welfare schemes aimed at empowering women and girls across the state. Speaking at the launch ceremony of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight and the Suposhit Maa Abhiyan in Sangod, Kota, the Chief Minister shared key milestones achieved under various government programs.

Empowerment Through Skill and Support

CM Sharma stated that under the Lakhpati Didi Yojana, 14 lakh women have been trained to become self-reliant through skill development. Additionally, around 5.6 lakh women have benefited from the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, a central scheme aimed at supporting pregnant and lactating mothers.

Focus on the Girl Child

He also mentioned that through the Lado Protsahan Yojana, 1 lakh girls have received financial support to encourage their education and well-being. Furthermore, the government has distributed bicycles to 10 lakh girls who enrolled in Class 9, aiming to reduce school dropout rates and promote mobility and access to education.

The event underscored the state government's commitment to inclusive development and focused interventions for women's empowerment and child nutrition. CM Sharma reiterated that such schemes reflect the administration’s dedication to uplifting the most vulnerable sections of society and ensuring dignity, opportunity, and equal participation for all.

Strengthening Welfare Delivery at the Grassroots

The CM emphasized that the Antyodaya Sambal Fortnight is designed to ensure the last-mile delivery of public welfare schemes and services. Camps organized under this campaign provide a one-stop solution for citizens to access health, nutrition, education, and livelihood assistance in a transparent and efficient manner. The Suposhit Maa Abhiyan, in particular, focuses on improving maternal and child nutrition across rural areas, addressing malnutrition through regular health check-ups, nutritional kits, and awareness drives.

Government’s Vision for Inclusive Growth

Highlighting the government's larger vision, Sharma reiterated his administration’s commitment to inclusive and people-centric governance. He said that schemes like Lakhpati Didi and Lado Protsahan are more than just welfare programs—they are steps toward creating a more equal and empowered society, especially for women and the girl child. He added that the state government would continue to scale such initiatives to cover even the remotest areas of Rajasthan, ensuring that no eligible beneficiary is left out.
