NSUI claims ABVP Candidates Nomination Papers Were Faulty

NSUI on Tuesday alleged that ABVP’s general secretary candidate Arvind Jajara’s nomination papers were faulty just days after Rajasthan University Students Union election results were announced. According to media reports Jajara won the post in the RUSU election and his candidacy was approved by the university after legal opinion.

Sanjay Choudhary, NSUI member said, “Student union elections are the base of democracy and in this, the university first rejected the application of ABVP candidate and then after day-long drama, it approved it. There is a Constitution that must be followed. We lodged a complaint with the DSW office and are still taking up the matter with them.”

“The ABVP candidate was not a regular student at the university and was not admitted to any course, but he contested the elections based on high court’s orders. As per the norms of the university, a candidate must submit the marksheet from previous year,” added Choudhary.
