Rajasthan alerts districts on genome testing

Corona virus infection is once again spreading rapidly in many countries including China. Due to the infection of Covid-19, there has been an outcry due to the deaths in China. In such a situation, the danger has increased due to the availability of variant BF.7. Talking about Rajasthan, 10 new cases of corona have been found in Jaipur on Thursday. At the same time, the infection rate was 0.20 on 4,947 new tests in 24 hours. With this, the recovery rate is 99.26 percent with four new recoveries. Total infected in the state are 13,15, 390 and total deaths are 9,653 and 58 are active cases.

In this connection, under the chairmanship of the Government Secretary of the Medical Department, a meeting was held at the Swasthya Bhawan in the morning to review the management of Covid-19 in the state, along with preparations and resources. At the same time, in this important meeting, a detailed discussion was held with all the concerned officials regarding the management of Covid-19.

The Government Secretary said that all the necessary resources from oxygen plant and ventilators are available in sufficient quantity in Rajasthan. The states are fully prepared to deal with any kind of challenge.

Genome sequencing test of infected patients

The Government Secretary informed that sampling of Covid-19 is being done in all the districts of the state. Instructions have been issued to all district collectors to send the samples to the lab for genome to identify the new variant in positive cases.

Along with this, emphasis is being given on screening, random sampling, sequencing and now ILI patients will also be identified by door-to-door survey.

Focus on genome sequencing

At the same time, the central government has instructed the state governments to get genome sequencing of corona positive cases done. Almost all state governments are now sending samples of corona positive cases for genome sequencing.

Through genome sequencing, it will be ascertained that how many new variants of Corona are currently present in the country.
