The Rajasthan government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, has announced major initiatives in the 2025-26 budget to boost urban development. The government aims to enhance infrastructure, create employment opportunities, and improve public services in cities.

One of the key highlights is the revival and expansion of the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Urban Development Scheme, which will focus on urban infrastructure and public welfare projects.

500 Pink Toilets for Women’s Safety

In a significant step towards women’s safety and hygiene, the Rajasthan government has allocated ₹175 crore for the construction of 500 Pink Toilets in urban areas. These toilets will provide clean and secure sanitation facilities for women and contribute to making cities more women-friendly under the Safe City initiative.

500 New Buses for Urban Transport

To improve public transportation, the government has announced the introduction of 500 new buses across Rajasthan’s urban centers. This move aims to enhance connectivity, ease traffic congestion, and promote eco-friendly travel options.
