Rajasthan Chief Minister Initiates “Rajasthan Mission-2030” to Propel State’s Development

Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot, has unveiled the ambitious “Rajasthan Mission-2030” with the goal of positioning the state among the top developed states in India within the next seven years. The mission aims to collect insights and opinions from a diverse cross-section of society, including experts, academics, students, traders, workers, and more, totaling around one crore individuals. These perspectives will be used to shape a comprehensive vision document that outlines the state’s trajectory towards progress.

Chief Minister emphasized that the initiative isn’t linked to upcoming State Assembly elections

The consultation process will span until September 15, after which the finalized vision document will be prepared by the end of the month. The Chief Minister emphasized that the initiative isn’t linked to upcoming State Assembly elections but is focused on defining a roadmap for the state’s advancement over the next decade.

Chief Minister Gehlot highlighted that while Rajasthan has already achieved noteworthy strides in areas like healthcare and education, there are lingering challenges across multiple sectors. He reminisced about the state’s transformation from frequent droughts and water crises to its current status as a model state for social security, women’s empowerment, healthcare, and infrastructure development.

He stressed the need for comprehensive growth in Rajasthan

He stressed the need for comprehensive growth in Rajasthan, mentioning the untapped potential of its mineral wealth, ongoing exploration for crude oil, and the establishment of an oil refinery in Barmer. To facilitate public involvement, a web portal has been launched to receive suggestions, and a dedicated team will gather views through various channels, including a toll-free number, contests, essay competitions, and direct surveys.

The Chief Minister urged everyone to rally behind “Mission-2030,” envisioning a future where Rajasthan rises as a beacon of development and prosperity. With the state’s journey from the challenges of the past to its current accomplishments, Chief Minister Gehlot believes that Rajasthan should set its sights on achieving parity with the league of developed states in India.
