In a significant development, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has fulfilled the promise of providing gas cylinders at the subsidized rate of INR 450. The much-anticipated initiative has now been rolled out, bringing relief to eligible households, particularly women in the economically weaker sections. Beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) will avail themselves of this scheme, allowing them to purchase cylinders at a highly reduced cost.

- Eligibility Criteria - PMUY Beneficiaries:
The scheme primarily targets women falling under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category, with a specific focus on PMUY beneficiaries.
- 12 Cylinders Annually at Reduced Cost:
Beneficiaries enrolled under the scheme will be entitled to purchase 12 cylinders annually, each priced at the reduced rate of INR 450.
- Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra for Outreach:
To ensure widespread awareness and accessibility, the state government has launched the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. This initiative involves setting up camps and awareness programs to register eligible beneficiaries.
- Registration Process at Shivir:
Interested beneficiaries are required to register for the scheme by participating in the camps (Shivirs) organized under the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
- Digital Subsidy Transfer:
Upon refilling the gas cylinders, beneficiaries will receive the subsidy amount directly credited to their bank accounts, ensuring a seamless and transparent process.
