Rajasthan News: In a major move, the North Western Railway Division has announced that 48 special trains running on various routes in Rajasthan will be made regular starting from January 1, 2025. These trains, which will now operate under new numbers, will offer passengers a significant benefit of reduced fares compared to current special services.

Key Changes to Train Services

The transition of these special trains into regular services means that the routes will now be available as scheduled trains, providing passengers with consistent travel options. In addition, the fare structure will be revised, offering a reduction in ticket prices. Special trains usually have higher fares for services like general and sleeper coaches, but with the change to regular services, passengers can expect a more affordable fare.

Some of the trains transitioning to regular services include:

  • Train No. 54005, which will operate as the Delhi-Bhiwani route.
  • Train No. 54011, operating the Rohtak-Hansi route.
  • Train No. 54085, which will cover the Delhi-Rewari route.

Economic Benefit for Passengers

The decision to make these trains regular is expected to reduce the financial burden on passengers. The fares for special trains are often higher than for regular passenger and express trains, especially for sleeper class reservations. As these trains become regular, the fare reduction will provide a much-needed economic benefit for commuters.

For passengers accustomed to special trains, this change is a welcome shift towards affordability and consistency in rail services.
