Rajasthan News: Before Diwali, the tourism season has kicked off with Navratri and Dussehra. During this season, tourists from far and wide visit the Golden City. To ensure a hassle-free experience for these travelers, air services are starting today, connecting Jaisalmer directly to Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai.

Flight Schedule:

On Sunday, the first flight departs from Mumbai at 9:20 AM, reaching Jaisalmer by 11 AM. Subsequently, it returns to Mumbai at 11:50 AM, landing back at 1:35 PM. Following this, the second flight leaves Jaipur at 1:10 PM and arrives in Jaisalmer at 3:05 PM. After that, the same flight departs at 3:55 PM and returns to Jaipur at 5:30 PM. Finally, the flight from Ahmedabad leaves at 3:05 PM, reaching Jaisalmer at 5 PM, and departing from Jaisalmer at 5:20 PM, arriving in Ahmedabad at 7:10 PM.

As of now, SpiceJet and Alliance Air have not released their flight schedules for any city. Hence, Jaisalmer will have to wait for these companies to initiate their air services. However, starting from October 12th, IndiGo will provide direct flights from Delhi to Jaisalmer, and after launching flights from three more cities, IndiGo will directly serve four cities.

Increased Flight Ticket Prices

IndiGo has started its air services at the base price. However, with online bookings already open, the rates for air services have increased. Currently, passengers traveling from Mumbai to Jaisalmer will have to pay INR 8,500, INR 5,500 from Ahmedabad, and INR 3,800 from Jaipur. The initiation of air services in Jaisalmer was expected to bring relief to local residents.

Unfortunately, due to the deceitful practices carried out with tourists during the off-season, flight services do not benefit the common people. Meanwhile, during the tourism season, airlines are profiting from tourists under the guise of the tourism season boom, making flight services unaffordable for local residents.

The Start Was Supposed to Be on October 2

This year, air services were supposed to start in Jaisalmer on October 2. Alliance Air was set to begin air services from Delhi on October 2. However, they canceled their schedule and decided to initiate air services from October 29. After that, IndiGo was planning to commence its air services for the first time in Jaisalmer on October 12, but they only initiated services from Delhi.

Following that, from October 29, Alliance Air, SpiceJet, and IndiGo were supposed to start air services for Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai. Now, IndiGo is finally starting its air services, but Alliance Air and SpiceJet have pushed back their schedules. Hopefully, both of these airlines will begin flights before Diwali.
