Rajasthan News: Rajasthan's School Education Minister Madan Dilawar has called on the public to join the 'Surya Namaskar' programme on Surya Saptami, February 3, as the state plans to break its previous world record. The event will take place simultaneously across government and private schools in Rajasthan, with the goal of surpassing last year's record of 1.33 crore students performing 'Surya Namaskar' from 78,974 schools.
Mass Participation Across Rajasthan
The Surya Namaskar event is set to begin at 10:15 a.m. on February 3, involving students, teachers, dignitaries, and even the general public. This initiative aims to promote both physical health and mental well-being. Minister Dilawar has urged citizens to actively participate in the event to create a new world record.
Preparation and Practice Sessions for Success
To ensure the smooth execution of the event, schools will organise practice sessions for students ahead of the big day. Students from classes 1 to 5 are required to participate, with exceptions made for those who are unwell or have recently undergone surgery. Experts from Krida Bharti Sanstha will assist schools in demonstrating proper techniques for performing 'Surya Namaskar' and other yoga poses.
Collaboration with Experts and NGOs
In addition to local education officials, the programme has received support from yoga experts and NGOs. They will guide the students in performing the 10 yoga poses in a synchronised manner during the event. Minister Dilawar will also take part, emphasising the significance of this cultural and health-focused initiative.
With a clear goal to surpass last year’s record and bring people together through yoga, this year's 'Surya Namaskar' event is set to be a memorable milestone for Rajasthan.
