A state level event in Dadia village, Jaipur, marked the launch of a significant initiative under the ‘Karmabhoomi Se Matrabhumi’ program, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.This ambitious program aims to address groundwater depletion by constructing recharge wells across approximately 45,000 villages in Rajasthan.
Groundwater Recharge Initiative Launched
As part of the campaign, the Rajasthan government has initiated an extensive groundwater recharge project, prioritizing sustainability and water conservation in rural areas. The program aligns with the Chief Minister’s Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan, which focuses on enhancing water resources and ensuring water security across the state.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma highlighted the government’s efforts during the ceremony, stating that over one lakh projects under the Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan were launched immediately after the administration took office. These initiatives demonstrate the government’s commitment to addressing water scarcity and supporting rural communities in Rajasthan.

The creation of recharge wells under the program aims to replenish depleting groundwater levels, ensuring access to water for agriculture and daily needs in villages. The initiative seeks to empower communities, making them self-reliant in water management and fostering sustainable development.
The event also commemorated the completion of one year of the current state government under Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.
