Rajasthan News: In light of the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22, the Rajasthan government has announced a public holiday in the state until 2 PM. According to the order issued by the General Administration Department, all government offices, public enterprises, and educational institutions in Rajasthan will observe a public holiday until 2 PM on January 22. This decision aims to facilitate the participation of government employees in the auspicious event.
Adjusted Outpatient Department (OPD) Hours During Half-Day Holiday
On the specified day, the outpatient department (OPD) hours in government hospitals will be limited from morning until 3 PM. The half-day holiday will allow medical staff and employees to participate in the festivities while ensuring essential healthcare services are still accessible.
Implications for Private Schools and Hospitals
While government schools are expected to remain open until 4 PM, private schools, in most cases, may opt for a complete holiday considering the limited duration. In contrast, government hospitals are likely to maintain a limited outpatient service during the adjusted hours of 2 PM to 3 PM. This decision reflects the government’s effort to balance the celebration of a significant religious event with the continued provision of essential services.
