Rajasthan to give 2 percent reservation to sportspersons and atheletes in government jobs

The Ashok Gehlot government of Rajasthan on Saturday opened the box of announcements for the players and athletes. The state government has announced to give 2% reservation to athletes in government jobs. Apart from this, along with giving out-of-turn jobs to 229 talented players, the government has also made a provision for pension for coaches and players. Apart from this, the government has increased the prize money to Rs 3 crore for the players who have won international medals.

CM Ashok Gehlot made these announcements at the closing ceremony of the block level Rajiv Gandhi Rural Olympic Sports Competition held at Nainwan Senior Higher Secondary School, Bundi. The CM said that through the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Olympic Sports Competition, we have got an opportunity to nurture rural talents.

He said that the Minister of State, Ashok Chandna, specially cooperated for starting this competition, so he deserves thanks. The CM said that we have increased the incentive amount given to the players who have brought laurels to the state at the national and international level.

He said that now players will also be given a reservation of 2% in government jobs. CM said that our government wants to take Rajasthan forward in sports. He said that at present 3 million players are playing the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Olympic Sports Competition, but next time this number will be 3 times. CM said that good health of children is possible only through sports.
