Sachin Pilot: Congress leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot has blasted the divisive politics of BJP leader Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former MP from Rajasthan’s Tonk Sawai Madhopur was recently seen in a now viral video that free blankets are not meant for women from the Muslim community as they abuse the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a now viral video, Jaunapuria could be seen asking the name of a woman. He reportedly tells his aides not to offer the woman a free blanket as she is from the Muslim community.
The Reaction Of Sachin Pilot
Sachin Pilot remarked that depriving a poor, needy woman of a blanket and insulting her is extremely reprehensible and unfortunate. Pilot added that discrimination based on religion and caste is not only morally wrong but also a violation of constitutional rights.
Step By Rajasthan Youth Congress
In response to the divisive politics of Jaunapuria, the Rajasthan Youth Congress distributed blankets to Muslim women who had been denied aid.
Tikaram Jully, the leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Assembly, remarked that the actions of Jaunapuria insulted the Muslim community. Jully remarked a former MP asking a poor woman her religion and then taking back the blanket is highly condemnable.
