The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of the Rajasthan Police said on Thursday that the recent blast at the Udaipur railway bridge was carried out to protest against the meager compensation for land acquisition for the railway track and was a conspiracy by some local residents.
According to ATS officials, four people including a minor have been detained. This also includes the seller of explosives. Officials said that more information will come out after interrogation.
Addressing a press conference here, Additional Director General of Police (ATS-SOG) Ashok Rathore said that Dhulchand Meena (32), Prakash Meena (18) and a 17-year-old boy have been taken into custody. All three are residents of Eklingpura of Jawar Mines in Udaipur. Ankush Suwalka, who sold them explosives, has also been detained. He said that in the interrogation so far, the accused have said that their aim was not to kill anyone.

ADG Rathore said that the accused had planted explosives after the train had left, which made it clear that there was no intention to harm people. After planting the explosives, all three left. He said the explosives for the blast were procured from Suwalka in Dholki Pati area and the conspiracy was hatched only to attract the attention of the government machinery. However, the accused said that they have nothing to do with the incident.
The rail line from Udaipur to Ahmedabad was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 31 October. On the sADG Rathore gave this informationame line, there were blasts on Saturday at 10 pm on Odha Railway Bridge on Salumber Road, 35 km from Udaipur. At that time, when some people reached the railway bridge, the track was found broken at many places. Not only this, gunpowder was also found on the railway line. The sight was such that even the nut-bolts of the bridge were missing. The iron sheet was also uprooted on the track. Seeing the apprehension of terrorist incident, CM Ashok Gehlot became active.
10 sacks filled with gelatin were found in the river
The police and the government were active after the accident on Odha railway bridge. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, 10 sacks filled with gelatin were found near the river in Aspur of Dungarpur district. Villagers informed the police when they saw 10 gunny bags lying in the river near the bridge built on Som river in Bhabrana village. The police arrived and took out the sacks from the river. When the sacks were opened, there were sticks of gelatin in them. It was being told that these gelatin sticks were so powerful that it would have destroyed an area of more than 200 square feet.
