This initiative is part of a broader plan to modernize Ranchi’s road infrastructure, aligning with the city's growing population and rapid vehicular expansion.

According to officials, detailed project reports (DPRs) for each flyover are ready and include design, cost estimation, land acquisition mapping, and environmental impact assessments. The project will be rolled out in phases, with a target completion timeline of 24 to 30 months, depending on each site’s complexity.

In addition to easing congestion, the flyovers are expected to enhance road safety by eliminating dangerous intersections and reducing accident risks. The government is also considering implementing smart traffic management systems and synchronized signals under the flyovers to further optimize vehicular flow. This marks a significant step in Ranchi’s transformation into a more livable and commuter-friendly city.
