Ranchi News: At the Ranchi airport in Jharkhand, there was an uproar when a pistol bullet was recovered from a woman’s bag, after which the woman was detained by the CISF stationed at the airport and then handed over to the airport police station, after which the police interrogated the secret. CISF jawans at Birsa Munda Airport, during security checking, detained NRI woman Elizabeth with a live cartridge and handed her over to Ranchi Airport Police.

The woman is a resident of Jamshedpur and has US citizenship. She had come to Ranchi from Jamshedpur after which she was to fly to Delhi but while entering the airport, the woman was stopped for security check by CISF jawans. During the investigation, the CISF personnel were shocked when the woman’s bag started blinking in front of the metal detector. When the woman constable of CISF checked the purse of the NRI woman, a bullet of 9 mm pistol came out of it.
After this, the woman was detained and handed over to the Ranchi police. When the woman was questioned by the police at the airport police station, the woman Elizabeth Peter told that she is a resident of Birsa Nagar area of Jamshedpur. In police interrogation, Elizabeth has told that she had found this cartridge while walking in the park in Jamshedpur itself. He thought it would be useful to put it in a locket, so he picked it up and kept it in his bag. After investigation on the basis of the woman’s statement, an FIR has been registered against the woman in the police station under the Arms Act and her passport has been confiscated. At present, he has been released from Ranchi Airport police station on PR bound, he was sent back to Jamshedpur. The woman will now have to face a court trial in this matter.
