Ranchi News: State Govt launches Cyber Police Stations in 8 districts to deal with Online Theft, check details

Ranchi News: In order to deal strictly with the Cyber Crime, the State Government decided to set up Cyber Police Stations in the 8 districts of Jharkhand. These Cyber Police Stations will be open in Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Dumka, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Chaibasa and Seraikela-Kharsawan. Each district will have one Police Station. The government has decided to implement the scheme to deal strictly with the offenders who commit cyber crime and get away. The Chief Secretary chaired a meet of all the officials and decided to open these Cyber Police stations in all these districts.

Cyber stations will be supervised by a DSP

These Cyber Police Stations will be supervised by a DSP. This DSP will be responsible to assign work, to investigate cases or appointing additional officer to handle a particular case. All the SPs of the districts will also have other officers in the Police Stations for help. They will also work as Assistant Inspectors. Currently there are no Police Officers deployed in these Police Stations.

The New Set Up will help in Nabbing Offenders

Cyber Crime has become a serious issue in the entire country. Lots of people have become the victim of cyber crime while shopping online, or through other means. These Cyber Police Stations will help a lot of people in finding a suitable way to register their complaint.
