Amid the political rush, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal has made a major announcement for those living in government service quarters. These workers, who have long been overlooked, are set to benefit from a series of promises that include permanent housing, better salaries, healthcare, and much more. Kejriwal’s announcement is a significant step in his broader vision to improve the lives of all sections of Delhi’s population, from women to the elderly and children.
Key Announcements for Workers Living in Service Quarters
In a press conference, Kejriwal revealed a comprehensive plan to support those residing in government service quarters. The new measures will include the creation of a Service Registration Portal and Staff Cards, simplifying access to various services.

Additionally, Kejriwal announced the construction of Staff Hostels to improve accommodation options and the provision of EWS government housing to ensure better living standards for economically weaker sections of society.
Better Healthcare and Financial Security
Alongside housing, Kejriwal promised initiatives to boost the well-being of these workers. Mobile Mohalla Clinics will be established to provide accessible healthcare services. Moreover, similar to auto drivers, workers will be granted 10 Lakh life insurance and 5 Lakh health insurance. Kejriwal also promised financial support for key life events, such as 1 Lakh rupees for a daughter’s wedding and scholarships for their children.
Empowering Women and Ensuring Fairness
Kejriwal’s vision extends to empowering women as well. He announced 2,100 rupees per month for women in Delhi, further building on previous promises for the elderly, which include free healthcare. This multifaceted approach aims to ensure fairness and security for all sections of Delhi's population, benefiting women, youth and workers alike.
