Swachh Survekshan 2023: BJP ruined MCD, we will break down all these issues, says AAP

Swachh Survekshan 2023: The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is set for Swachh Survekshan rankings 2023. The civic body is currently chalking out a better roadmap to achieve the best ranking yet in the survey, keeping in check with its garbage-free city (GFC) and open defecation city (ODF) policies.

Previous rankings

The South, East, and North halves of the trifurcated MCD, during BJP's tenure previously, received dismal rankings in the poll. Out of 45 communities surveyed, the former North Municipal Corporation placed in the bottom ten. In the survey, it was at 37th position, with the East body coming in at position 34 and the South attaining 28th rank.

Inherited failed MCD: AAP

AAP leader Durgesh Pathak, who was reappointed as MCD in-charge on Thursday while speaking to a leading newspaper said, “In the last 15 years, the BJP had completely ruined the civic body. We have inherited a failing MCD with so many existing issues. AAP along with its councillors and MCD staffers will break down these issues one by one and slowly improve its position in the Swachh Survekshan ranking.”
