The Gurugram crime branch detained a teen. He allegedly demanded money while pretending to be a Lawrence Bisnoi gang member.

When taken in for interrogation, he said that his mother had cancer and that he had committed the crime to pay for her medical bills.

According to reports , the 18 year old called the HR Head of a Japanese company and informed him that he is a member of Lawrence Bisnoi gang and demanded Rs 26 lakh , threatening to kill his family if he and his family did not cooperate. In regards to the incident , a written complaint was filed at the sector 17/18 police station in Gurugram.
On December 4, 2022, at 6:00 PM, the HR of a Japanese company in Manesar's sector 3 complained that he had received a call. The caller identified himself as Imran and claimed to have received a bounty of Rs. 26 lakhs to eliminate him.
Further According to Preethpal Singh, ACP Crime (Gurugram Police), the suspect allegedly took a woman's phone and threatened the company's HR director over the phone. The accused repeatedly hung up the phone after demanding extortion money, making it challenging to catch him.
