Telangana News: Urinating near Shivaji Statue proves costly for this man, paraded amid religious chanting

Telangana News: A man in Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s constituency was caught urinating near a statue of Shivaji while being drunk. The man was caught around 8:30 pm after which he was paraded by a mob and forcefully made to chant religious slogans.

Visuals from Gajwel town of Siddipet district shows a mob heckling a man after which he issued an apology for his action.

Forceful religious chanting

The man was made to clean alleged the spot of urinating after a bucket of water was fetched. The man is then paraded and made to shout “Jai Shri Ram“, “Bharat Mata ki Jai”, and “Chatrapati Shivaji ki jai” with cloths torn at some places.

A police officer can be seen attempting to take the man away from crowd but the mob takes towards the divider and shove his face to the ground. As per reports, the man was asked to lick the area where he allegedly urinated.

No Communal eruption

The mob that had caught the man urinating near Chhatrapati Shivaji’s statue took offense over an act of profanity by a minority under the influence of alcohol. After the event unfolded Muslims from neighboring Sangapur protested and called for a ‘bandh.’ The situation in area is peaceful as of now.
