This ambitious central government scheme, implemented by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), aims to formalize housing rights for lakhs of families living in unauthorized areas.

Under the scheme, residents can now claim ownership of their property through a simple digital process. By checking their home’s status on the UC Locator and registering via the official PM-UDAY mobile app, beneficiaries can begin the process of legal recognition.

The scheme not only grants legal ownership but also ensures access to basic infrastructure and services, paving the way for a safer and more stable living environment.

“With legal ownership, families can now proudly call their home their own. This step brings dignity, security, and access to formal services,” a DDA official said.

The PM-UDAY mobile app, developed with support from BISAG-N and the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, allows users to upload documents, check colony eligibility, and monitor application status — all in one place.
