A massive blast at a firecracker factory in Thrissur District of Kerala State has stunned the whole country with 13 deaths and many more seriously injured. The blast took place at a fireworks factory in Mundathikode area, connected to the preparations of the renowned Thrissur Pooram festival.

An enormous explosion took place in a factory manufacturing firecrackers in Thrissur, Kerala. While preparing firecrackers, the fire suddenly got out of control, leading to subsequent explosions in the factory premises.
Deaths & Injuries
Due to the accident, 13 people lost their lives. Meanwhile, other workers received critical injuries. The severely injured are being treated at a nearby hospital. Rescuers also managed to retrieve severely burnt bodies from the site due to the powerful explosion.

Rescue services arrived at the spot to conduct rescue operations. But due to the frequent explosions, smoke and fire, the operation faced difficulties. Local people helped the injured workers to be evacuated from the site.
