After the torrential rains in Himachal Pradesh, the miseries have not reduced. There is an outcry for electricity and water in thousands of villages. There is no mobile network in many areas. At the same time, a car fell into the Sutlej river on the National Highway-5 damaged by landslides at Nogli near Rampur in Shimla district. Four people in the car are said to be missing in the river. According to the information, about 30 meters of the highway had sunk due to the landslide at around 4:00 pm on Tuesday evening.

The operation has been intensified to evacuate 300 people trapped in Chandratal. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu conducted an aerial survey of the snow-covered Chandratal lake on Wednesday. 300 people are stranded in Chandratal. By this evening, the rescue team has set a target of reaching Chandratal so that people can be safely evacuated soon.

Due to heavy rains, a large amount of debris came in the Sangla market of Kinnaur district on Wednesday afternoon. There is a possibility of widespread damage due to this. It is being told that due to heavy rains, there was a sudden flood-like situation and a large amount of debris reached the Sangla market from above. Many vehicles were also buried under the debris. People are not able to contact each other due to breakdown of power supply and communication services in the area.

873 roads closed in the state

Due to landslides at various places, 873 roads were closed in the state till 10:00 am on Wednesday. Of these, maximum 350 roads in Shimla, 100 in Mandi, 109 in Sirmaur, Solan, 97 in Lahaul-Spiti, 78 in Chamba and 36 in Kinnaur were blocked for traffic. 1956 power transformers have also stalled due to rains in the state. In Chamba 129, Kinnaur 128, Lahaul-Spiti 206, Mandi 156, Shimla 380, Sirmaur 328 and 619 power transformers in Solan have stalled.
