Delhi News: A traffic advisory for Bharat Parv, which is set to take place at Red Fort from January 23 to January 31, 2024, was released by the Delhi Police on Monday. The announcement stated that Madhav Das Park and 15 August Park would host food courts and craft vendors for the general public.
Republic Day Tableaus
As in previous years, it said that this edition of Bharat Parv will feature the Republic Day tableaus, Armed Forces bands, state/Union Territory troupes and zonal cultural centres performing, a pan-India food court and crafts bazaar, state and central government pavilions, and more.
Inaugural Function of Bharat Parv
"The inaugural function of Bharat Parv will be held on Tuesday and it will be open to the general public till January 31. As per past experience, it is expected that the event will also attract a large number of visitors on all days from 12 pm to 10 pm. Many VIPs/VVIPs will also visit Red Fort on this occasion," according to the advisory.
Key Locations Affected During Bharat Parv
According to the criteria, traffic is being redirected from Chatta Rail Crossing, Subhas Park T-point, Shanti Van Chowk, and Delhi Gate during Bharat Parv to prevent congestion, the statement said.
The advice further stated that Nishad Raj Marg from the Shanti Van crossing to the Subhas Park T-point and Netaji Subhas Marg from Chatta Rail Chowk to Delhi Gate may be subject to traffic restrictions, regulations, or diversion. Depending on their needs, both the general population and visitors can use the numerous paid parking lots close to Red Fort.
Event Venue and Detour Areas Not Accessible to Public
The location where the event is being held and any roads or sections where there will be detours are off-limits to the general public. According to the advise, commuters heading to the ISBT, the New Delhi and Old Delhi railway stations, should depart with enough time to account for any delays.
It is recommended that people use public transport to get to the event, particularly the Delhi Metro. According to the statement, the closest metro stations for accessing the Red Fort are Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, and Kashmere Gate.
Adherence to Designated Lots Emphasized
The advise requested that people park their cars only in approved lots and stay away from roadside parking, which impedes regular traffic flow. Additionally, it has requested citizens to report any unusual or unidentifiable object or person under suspicious circumstances to the nearby personnel or the local police.
