According to investigators, Chetan Chaudhary was associated with local cricket and played matches alonpgside Sahil Goyal. Police say Siya often accompanied her brother during these matches, where she is believed to have first met Chetan. Investigators claim the two later reconnected at a Diwali gathering in 2025, after which their communication increased significantly.

As part of the ongoing probe, police questioned Sahil Goyal for several hours.
