UP News: In a major development in the Ayodhya minor rape case, the district administration cracked down hard following the registration of an FIR on August 2. The authorities arrived with a bulldozer outside the house of accused Samajwadi Party leader Moid Khan to demolish an illegal bakery related to the matter. The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended the station and outpost in-charges following the dreadful incident.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Takes Charge
The case is two months old when a 12-year-old girl accused two men, including Moid Khan, of raping her and filming the crime. Horrific details came to light recently following a medical examination which revealed that the girl was pregnant, after which an FIR was filed.
Intervening, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the family of the victim and assured stringent action against the perpetrators. Accompanied by MLA Dr. Amit Singh Chouhan, he said, “Justice shall be secured for her.” He took to social media platform ‘X’, saying, “The culprits will be given severe punishment.” This was to assure the state’s commitment towards curbing the menace.
Samajwadi Party Under Fire
SDM Sohawal Ashok Kumar has confirmed that the bakery, which was found to be running illegally, has been sealed and demolition actions are initiated. The CM has pointed out the political affiliation of the accused and said that Moid Khan is a member of the Samajwadi Party and has been involved in the crime. Even after that, the Samajwadi Party is yet to take action against Khan, and this has been criticized.
On Thursday, during an assembly address, Adityanath came out against the involvement of Moid Khan, who allegedly belongs to the team of the Ayodhya MP. With the arrest of Khan and his employee, Raju Khan, from the Purakalandar area in the case, the whole event has turned a different page, raising a loud, clear message for justice and accountability in this shocking incident.
