The Haridwar administration has imposed a fine of Rs 35,000 on 7 mosques that did not comply with the noise pollution norms. In many villages of Pathari police station area, the loudspeakers installed for Azaan on the mosques were warned for playing in more volume than the prescribed standard. But, even after this the volume of the loudspeaker was not reduced.

Got a week's time to pay the fine

On this, SDM Puran Singh Rana has imposed a fine of Rs 35 thousand on the report of Pathri police station. There are 7 such mosques, on which a fine of five thousand rupees each has been imposed. They will have to deposit this fine in the account of the Pollution Control Board in a week.

Along with this, notices have also been given to them not to do this again. If, even on this, they do not agree, then the permission to use the loudspeaker will be canceled and a case will be registered.

Complaint was received for playing loudspeaker in loud voice

In the matter, Haridwar's SDM Puran Singh Rana said, "There is a clear direction in the fixed policy of the government that without permission, announcement etc. system will not be used at any religious institution or wedding place. The religious institutions which were given permission They are being monitoredMeanwhile, there were complaints from some religious institutions that they were playing loud loudspeakers."

He further said, "On the basis of the complaint, an inquiry was conducted and notices were issued to them. A total penalty of Rs 35,000 has been imposed on seven religious institutionsThey have been given a week's time to pay the fine. Do not repeat such things, instructions have also been given for that. If anyone does this, his permission will be cancelled."

Muslim cleric raised questions

At the same time, Muslim religious leader Mohammad Arif says that Muslims and Hindus had gathered and held meetings in Kotwali and police stations. With everyone's consent, it was agreed to reduce the volume of the loudspeaker. Still the fine has been imposed.

We have to say whether noise pollution is not being caused by vehicles and by playing DJs in marriages. Playing politics like this is not a good thing.
