As per the official schedule, the portals of Yamunotri and Gangotri Dham will open on 30 April, Kedarnath Dham will open on 2 May, and Badrinath Dham will open on 4 May, marking the formal commencement of the pilgrimage season.
Organisers and Authorities in Full Spirit
"The organisers are very excited to welcome devotees this year," said CM Dhami, highlighting the spiritual fervor and collective enthusiasm surrounding the Yatra. Efforts have been taken to ensure smooth crowd management, emergency medical services, and enhanced connectivity to all Char Dhams, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for pilgrims.
Local businesses, hotels, and transport services are also gearing up, expecting a significant influx of pilgrims, which will give a major boost to the region's economy. Special attention has been given to eco-friendly measures to preserve the fragile Himalayan environment during the Yatra.
To cater to the growing number of pilgrims, several infrastructural upgrades have been undertaken. This includes the development of new roads, enhanced airlift services, and improved accommodation facilities at strategic locations along the Yatra route. Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board has also installed digital kiosks to assist visitors with travel and accommodation details in real-time.
