Char Dham Yatra: Abhinav Kumar, the Director General of Police (DGP) for Uttarakhand, personally visited Kedarnath Dham to evaluate security measures in an effort to maintain peace. He stressed to his police team the need to treat the devotees with kindness in the middle of the holy surroundings, creating an environment of respect and admiration.

Uttarakhand DGP's Directives

Among the important instructions was to strongly oppose anyone filming or making social media reels within fifty metres of the Kedarnath Dham temple complex. In addition to protecting the sacredness of the pilgrimage site, this approach attempts to effectively control crowds and preserve orderly lines.

Crackdown on Mobile Usage at Kedarnath Temple

These orders come after the Uttarakhand Police recently prohibited the use of cell phones to record videos or create reels close to the Char Dham temples. These directives have been sent to all Police Superintendents in districts that host Char Dham pilgrimage destinations by the state's police head.

Addressing Crowd Challenges

The decision to strengthen security measures as a result of the difficulties that tourists at Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath have presented. Devotees' tendency for capturing pictures and videos has made crowd control problems worse, calling for prompt action.

Chief Minister's Directives

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the chief minister, has approached this problem head-on. He has instructed staff to make sure that the ban against making reels or videos on temple property is strictly adhered to. The sacredness of the Char Dham Yatra, a beloved pilgrimage route for millions of Hindus, is intended to be preserved by these actions.
